Platform And Deployment

3 questions

We have simplified TankNET® into a modular platform. You start with the TankNET® Software which provides all essential monitoring and temperature control features. From there, you can select specific Add-on Modules (such as advanced energy management, scheduled automation, or production integrations) to build a system that fits your exact needs.

We offer flexible deployment options to match your IT strategy:

  • Cloud-Hosted: The most convenient choice for many facilities, offering secure remote access with zero server maintenance.
  • On-Premises: Designed for enterprise facilities or those requiring critical scheduled automation. The software runs entirely on your local server, ensuring total system autonomy and low-latency control.

Yes.

Whether you have 10 tanks or 1,000, TankNET® scales with you. Our modular software and flexible networking options allow you to easily add new tanks or enable advanced software features later without disrupting your current operations.

Connectivity Wifi Mesh

3 questions

The choice is yours, but we generally recommend based on your cellar size:

  • Wi-Fi: Ideal for smaller cellars (10-20 tanks) or facilities that already have strong Wi-Fi coverage. In many cases, a single standard Access Point is all you need.
  • MESH: The best choice for larger cellars (20-100+ tanks) or areas where installing standard Wi-Fi infrastructure would be too costly.

Our MESH technology is designed for effortless scalability. A single TankNET® Mesh Border Router can connect 50+ tanks to your network instantly. It eliminates the need for complex IT setup or specialized expertise - simply plug it in, and the tank controllers automatically form a secure network that is resilient and self-healing.

Yes.

You can easily add additional Mesh Routers to your system. This allows you to extend coverage into hard-to-reach corners of the cellar or increase data throughput. Adding routers also creates redundancy, ensuring your network stays robust even if one path is obstructed.

Hardware And Installation

2 questions

This is typically determined by the voltage rating of the control valves (solenoids) on your tank.

  • If your valves operate on 24VAC, you should select the 24VAC controller model.
  • If your valves operate on 120VAC, you should select the 120VAC controller model.
Note: Always verify your valve specifications before ordering to ensure compatibility.

Your fermentation remains safe and controllable. TankNET® controllers are designed to operate stand-alone.1 This means they continue to regulate temperature automatically, and you can always walk up to the tank to view data or adjust setpoints manually right on the controller's display - even without a network connection.

Features And Purchasing

3 questions

Yes.

This is a popular option for phased upgrades. TankNET® controllers function as fully independent, high-precision thermostats right out of the box. You can equip your tanks as your budget allows, and then purchase the TankNET® software later when you are ready to enable remote access, data logging, and centralized control.

Yes.

The new TankNET® interface presents in full fidelity on any device. Because it is a modern, responsive web application, you get the complete, uncompromised experience — viewing tank status, changing setpoints, and acknowledging alarms — on your smartphone, tablet, or desktop, regardless of whether you are using the Cloud or On-Premises version.

Yes.

Through our Integration Add-ons, TankNET® can share data with major winery and brewery production management systems. This creates a seamless flow of data (like brix, gravity, and pump-over logs), reducing manual data entry errors.

Michael McNeill

TankNET is indispensable to our operations. We've worked with them for over 20 years, and I truly can't imagine getting through harvest without it. Their support is equally impressive - competent and responsive, which is a real rarity these days
Michael McNeill, Hanzell Vineyards

Christian Palmaz

When developing the system, it didn't make sense to reinvent the wheel on the automation side, so we turned to TankNET® for the nuts and bolts, the end-to-end solution.
Christian Palmaz, Palmaz Vineyards

Katie Rouse

TankNET is critical to our wine care at Bedrock. The data visualization tools allow us to graph Brix versus real-time temperature, helping us catch slow-downs before they become an issue. The technology is easy to use, and Greg's team is always quick to provide solutions whenever they're needed.
Katie Rouse, Bedrock Wine Co.

Brewmaster

TankNET® controls have already paid for themselves! Our fermentation profiles are finally consistent, batch after batch.
Brewmaster, Cigar City

Michael Averill

As long-time users of TankNET controllers, we wanted the simplicity of a wireless solution without the need to make a significant investment in Wi-Fi infrastructure. We moved forward with an initial installation of 30 controllers over six months ago and we have not had a single issue. This is now our preferred controller solution.
Michael Averill, Jackson Family Wines

Katz & Sjolund

With the automatic pumpover system, we went from 30 pumpovers per batch to over 100, at a steadier pace, not just squeezing them in. The result was richer color, more concentration, and better homogenization of aromas and flavors.
Katz & Sjolund, Aperture Cellars
